Default 225/40/18 + 2 inch drop, is it possible?

Is anyone running something similar to 225/40/18 with a 2 inch drop? im ordering rims this week and i also want to lower it, but i'm not sure if this is going to fit. Is there any rubbing? am i going to have to roll my fenders? Any info would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Yes, it will fit... with 40+ you can do it. You'll rub up front though.

I had 225/40/18 on Hotchkis stage 1 (1.6" drop) and it rode fine. But it did rub at full lock. Rims were 18x7 +40 BTW

Looks like the wheels are a +42 offset, so they will rub in the front for sure then?

they probably will. you might want to try a smaller tire. maybe going down to a 215/40/18. i had 215/40/18 tires with tanabe df210s and it didnt rub much with a 18" rim with a 42 offset.
