I'm in the same boat man...
I painted the caps black. I'm happy enough with them. I know they aren't rims, but they get the job done.

If I couldn't afford rims I would either:
Leave the stock hubcaps.
OR
Take the hubcaps off, get some silver center caps for the steelies (fits in the center hole of the wheel I think, someone posted a Napa part number a while ago), and get some chrome lug nuts.

I'm not a fan of either trim rings or hub caps. The little Toyota ones that just cover the center of the wheel look ok to me though.

What this member did to cover the hole in the middle of the wheel. But I'd ditch the trim rings and add some chrome or silver lugs.

Cover those bad boys . . . with these:
http://www.hubcapmike.com/bhc01-15.html
or these (the ones I chose):
http://www.hubcapmike.com/rdc01-15.html

They're 85 bux, and Mike is FAST.

I would check at http://www.wheelguyz.com often. I found my wheels for $399 w/tires and free shipping. It has been awhile, but every now and then they have some awesome sales. Shipping was quick and they even included lug nutz. I am all about some cheap stuff.....

mr. Fuzzy, i believe i spotted you driving, pretty sure atleast. im in rochester, and also still in high school. i got the steelies in the winter, with the chrome trim rings from murrays auto parts, and some center caps from napa. if you put some nice gorilla lugs on it the look realy nice. right now i got some 18 inch enkei wheels with tires for $400, ide go with the trim rings, insted of painting them

i had gotten those from hubcapmike, but they don't fit the xB wheels. i even talked to mike and he said he only as 2 styles that fit.....the Racing Disks & the Ripple hubcaps.

Hey. That's my old box. I was surprised to see it in a new post. The white did look nice with the contrasting black, but it was so hard to keep clean. Anyway, trim rings and the center caps might be a good solution. I liked the look when I didn't want to spend a lot on wheels.

Im in the same boat as Mr.Fuzzy, I like those old "junkyard" solution steelies, but I don't know any local junk yards. Nor do I really want to scout for it.

Is there a write up for these steelies mod? This is amazing.

why dont you just keep the steelies? no need for anything else. just keep them as clean as possible and get some dressing on those tires... personally i like the way the steelies look, the only thing i would change about them is the rim width.

then again, i LOVE black wheels... all black, not the ones with chrome lip... stealth black.

why spend money on trim rings or lugs when you could be saving that for your rims.

well the trim rings are $10 a piece from murrays, and they pop in like a hub cap but its just the ring, and the center caps you have to order from the napa store, im not sure what the part number is, but i know its in the bling ring forum. only a few dollars each. P.s. i was in farmington when i saw you...

Hell yea. So far the only wheels I found that I'm really into is the Konig Minuz. 15" five spoke, all black.
