Default Konig Feather

Well I'm at that point where I'm pretty sick of lookin at those scratched up hubcaps. I was lookin at some OZ Ultraleggeras but at almost $800 with shipping plus the fact that not too many places carry OZ just didn't justify me gettin them, especially since they're only 15x7. Well after some surfing I ran across some Konig Feather 8spoke 15in rims. Clean classic design, light weight, and cheap. discounttiredirect.com has them for $99 a pop plus free shipping, very tempting. Just wanted to get ur opinions and also what color should I run with, Matte Silver or Matte Black. I was thinkin the black because that is closer to the gunmetal color that I was originally lookin for plus on a silver xa I think they would look pretty cool, again just lookin for ur .02. thx all.

Thx 4 da input. I was leaning toward the black but I'm not sure. I seen a pic of them on a yaris but I dunno if the guy did something to them or not cuz they looked very shiney and like the car didn't have rims at all. Does anyone have a good pic of a matte black rim( actual real life photo not the advertisements on the net). I went to the local Konig dealer by me and they're on 2 weeks backorder with no floor model to look at, ugh. I just need a good shot of what the finish looks like so I can pull the triger on these bad boyz.

If they're a flat / matte black color, the color is going to look very similar to these.

No problem. The thing is that most people that take photos don't know how to photograph black wheels, so they usually don't show up that well. Flat black looks hot on yellow, blue, red, & silver cars. I think they suck on white, but that's just my opinion. It's too contrasting.

^ I used to have those wheels on my Sentra. They looked good at times, but sometimes they would not. My car is kinda dark gray, so the color would get "lost" at times. They had to be REALLY clean to look good on my car. But yeah. Those flat black Feathers would look pretty good on your silver xA, just keep in mind that they will get "lost" with the dirt. Hahaha! ( ^o^) <3

Thx again 4 da help. After much debate on different wheels to go with I went with the Feathers in Matte Silver. Saw the Matter Black on a Silver Civic the other day around dusk and untill I got 3 feet away from the car I thought he was rollin with steelies. Anyway saw some silver rims on a silver TSX and I really liked it. White cars get white rims, black cars black rims, so I figured y not silver on silver. Will have pix when I get them.

Default Konig Feathers

I purchased a set of "Matte" finish Konig Featers and they are shiny. I am not disappoinetd at all. The contrast with the duller looking tire is nice. Earlier I had upgaded to a larger 195/60-15 Yokohama YK520 tire.

They are a wheel that will require waxing. I put them on my 2006 Shadow Mica xB. Quite a change from the large silver wheel covers. Also, they do set out further from the hubs then the OEM steel wheels.

I have made several other upgrades made from the recommendations of several of you on this forum. Thanks to all.

Default Konig Feathers

Unfortunately no pirctures of the black Feathers. They do look like the pictures posted earlier of the white Yaris. They are glossy and not a matte finish. Major difference being there is no color contrast with the body of my car and the wheels.

The Shadow Mica in the sun light has a contrast like your Sentra with the dark wheels.
The black Feathers come standard with chrome lug nuts and a small chrome center cap. I bought black splined lugs and black Mc Gard wheel locks.

Even though the wheels are fifteen inch. Having thin spokes you can see the disc brakes in the front and the drums in the rear easily. Again, I am very pleased with the look and the new stance of the car.

They are a great value compared to the price of the OEM alloys that Scion sells. The guys at America's Tire Store were great.

Where'd you guys get your feathers? How much?
I'm planning on having the OEM tires swapped for a while.

I got mine through http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...ign=ZipLocator only cost me $99/rim plus free shipping. Locking lug kit cost me $45 n chrome valve stems were a total of $12. I found a local guy by me who swapped my tires for me for $15 a corner so I really didn't do that bad overall. If u wanna go bigger that site also has rim n tire packages that r also shipped for free, plus the mount n balance them so when u get them u just put them on the car.

Afew pix for anyone who's curious of how they look or didn't see them in the other thread.

Looks good. All you need are some coilovers to lower the car & maybe the centercap to finish off the look of the wheels. (^_^ )
