Default ??? on Rear Upper Strut Bar

Does anyone have any information on any rear upper strut bars available for a 05 XB?

I am sure they are out there, or do I need one custom made.

You can also email me at funkytrumpetlips@hotmail.com

Well... considering that you don't have rear struts, it's largely unnecessary. People have tie bars in the back hatch, but it's for looks. What you want is a rear sway bar. It mounts under the car and makes a world of difference. A Progress or TRD sway can be had for around $150.

Thanks... just purchased the TRD sway bar...

Now, where can I find the upper "tie bar" you talked about?

It would be good for a few extra points at the show!

Those are harder to come by...
They crop up here and there, but I'm unaware of anyone selling one currently.

Okay... so, I've found one from GTSpec: http://www.gtspec.com/index.php?nav=...pid=148&cat=79
And MMW makes a trunk bar... the nice thing about this is you'd still have some trunk space to work with on the MMW bar.

That's funny! You don't get points for mods. You get points for cleanliness. The amount of mods you have only determines what class you get put in.
It's def for looks only cause it does nothing for the chassis. It might give you a spot to hang clothes on during trips tho.

Is a C-pillar bar the same as an upper tie bar?

As long as your mods are clean, then you should get points right?

Thats all I was trying to say.

No, the c pillar bar mounts up at the seatbelt location...
the tie bar mounts to those two humps in your hatch (where the shocks mount)

Slowbox - if you're planning on adding this as a show piece, I personally thing the MMW bar looks better.

That bar set-up does have a lot of eye appeal at shows. Too bad it does so little actual work. What finishes does it come in? I haven't seen one in so long I don't remember exactly what it looks like. lol
