probably not, and nobody ever should because you have no idea how well they will work or how long they will last. they could just snap under the weight of your own car and and practically ruin it.

the damage you could incure from cheap springs is incredibly higher than the cost of some quality springs.

don't cheap out, trust me, you get what you paid for.

Default I know they are cheap

I lowered many cars. Put all types of springs on cars. Never broke one. Never heard first hand that springs have broken. I think you heard an urban legend. I see cheap springs on ebay. Anybody buy and install these?

If you want to try them out, then try them.
Most of the people around here will buy quality stuff.
I'm not saying that the ebay specials will break, but they might ride like crap, or the drop might be uneven. You shouldn't think about it in terms of worst case scenario, but rather, "Am I going to want to drive this car with these springs?"
High quality, smooth riding springs can be had for around $200. There's a number of springs in the for sale section here, you can usually get a decent deal.
That's just my thoughts on the matter. It just makes sense to do it right.

It sounds like you've made up your mind though, so let us know how they work out.

One more thing... when you want advice on a particular product, it helps to link them so we know exactly what you're talking about.
I assume that you're talking about the JDM bb springs (the green Tein knockoffs)

The more specific you can get, the better responses you'll receive.

I bought a set of cheapy areospeed springs for my box. I ran them about 4 months until I bagged it. They weren't that bad for the price. The ride was alot more harsh then other 2 inch drop springs, but other then that they were fine.

You tend to get what you pay for on certain items. I personally would go with a company that is known for their suspension components. Thats just my opinion.
