If you opt for this option from the dealer, do you also get the stock 17 inch tires and wheels or do these replace the stock wheels? My dealer told me that I would get both sets of tires/wheels but he seemed like he didn't really know what he was talking about. Is this true?

 

not sure... but the EMX wheels are a port installed option i think... so because of that i doubt you'd get the originals back, although they SHOULD give it back...

i got all my original parts that were replaced by TRD parts back, but that was assured since TRD parts are installed from dealer now.

 

The stock 17" wheels are included in the price of your car... They are yours... Optional wheels are added at the dealership... If you buy the optional, you get both sets of wheels/tires.

Yeah for $1565 they better give you the originals back. I guess I will just have to call and ask my dealer. If anyone has any information about this please chime in...

the _______ dealer i was talken to last week, Told me that YOU DO NOT GET THE 17"s tires if u upgrade to the 18"s like i want to.

so iv been bugging out, thinken im getting over my head, if i have to buy another set of tires for the winter??

Well thats odd. On scion.com it does say that upgrades to the wheels does not also give you the original wheels so maybe this is true. Is there a dealer employee out there who can clear this up? Or anyone who has the 18 inch wheels, did you get to keep the 17's also?

I opted for the 18" Enkei's on my XB and I picked up my 15" stockers the next day! THat's crazy, you payed for the 17's and you should get em and/or tell him to knock it off the price tag!!

 

if the wheels are dealer installed, then i see no reason why they wouldn't give your old parts back. if they happen to be port installed, then it's questionable.

 

If they don't give you your originals back, they should apply their value toward the 18" wheel you are upgrading to.

 

I got the 18" TRD wheel upgrade on my xB and the stockers came home as well...

My salesman said they were mine, that they were included in the 14,100 whatever cost of the car...

If they still say you can't have both, buy the car w/ stock wheels, go drive it around for 30 mins, return to the dealer, buy the other wheels and tell them to throw the stock in the trunk ;P

 

Wasn't there just another post about this? Yes, you are supposed to get the 17s and tires back unless you made some other arrangement with your dealer.
