Default OMG! Shocks/Strut/Monroe question

Alright, so I've been reading tons of posts from TRD/Monroe and shocks in general. I got a couple of questions..

Given the general summarization from different threads... Rear monroe shocks (5870) will drop the xB 2 inches or so..

I currently have TRD shocks, struts and lowering springs. Now my front ones "seem" ok, but my back ones suck as of late (probably worn out...) Is it right to say that using the Monroes in the back will give my xB a heavy ___ look, meaning the back will be lower than the front if I keep the TRD fronts?

Secondly, I hear that installing shocks is fairly easy. Do I need any special tools for this procedure? I will look in the forums, but any advice or tips would be helpful for me as well as it's a first for me.

For anyone wondering, my ride is bumpy/bouncy in the rear. On highway and in the city, mostly highway though, i will get a bounce from the road and land bouncy like. Or I will drive and feel jolts and bounces so I know the rear ones are due for a change..

The shocks don't lower the car, the springs handle that. That model though is a little shorter than stock, so that the shock shaft is more in the 'sweet spot' of its travel. They are recommended for cars lowered MORE than 2". TRD springs are a little over an inch I think.

A better explanation.....

You want the Monroe 5987s for the TRD drop.
They're cheap, and decent. People really dig the Koni adjustables, but they're spendier.

As for the install, it can be done with hand tools in about 20 minutes. You don't even need to jack up the car.

New question, so I see the 5601 made for the xB. So would this mean they're about the same size as the TRD or stocks... This would be better? and the 5870 would lower it a little? The TRD give about 1.5 drop, which one would be better to cure my jolts and bounce.
