I tried using a 5 ohm resistor and it didn't seem to work. I went back and looked at the original images and it looks like the resistors are a pair of 18 ohm resistors (brown-silver-black bands). And because that would put the total resistance at 9 ohms rather than 5, is it just anything over 5 will turn the light back off? Has anyone successfully gotten this to work on a 2008? Did you just need 5 ohm? Did you do it with one single 5 ohm resistor, or two 10 ohm? Or did you use a higher total resistance? Thanks to anyone who can answer.

2005 doesn't have the same wiring setup. There is no yellow connector.

Thumbs up

Success! I SCAVENGED the harness and the little black magnetic module from the OEM seat and no more srs light. Now I can get the car inspected. LOL

Thanks TcPete for pointing out the easy way to solve this in an 05 tc.

I'm sorry, one question. If I just unplug the sensor then reattach my negative terminal to my battery and start my car, the airbag won't deploy right? Just airbag light will come on?
