^You base your LIKE/DISLIKE opinion on one single aspect of a vehicle? Not really an aspect, but part of a minor fix?.....

Don't get too much grease in there. Remember if a glob of grease gets on your clutch/flywheel/pressure plate somehow it will be a PITA to fix. I think it's the clip (the wire thing you feel when you put your finger in there) that's making the noise. Put some grease where that wire makes contact with the fork and see if that works first.

I just found this thread and have had this same problem with my 06. After nagging the dealer every time i get an oil change about it and them greasing it up i finally told them to find a more permanent fix. So 2 days in the shop and they fixed my throw out bearing they said. The clutch feels 100x better and their is no squeak. Feels like a new transmission.

And here I was going to take the time out of my day and argue with the dealership about getting this fixed when my fellow Scion drivers have had the same problem and found a way to fix it. Just another way we Scion owners are looking out for one another. Thanks to all who put in the time to research and post up DIY instructions.

Mine actually started squeaking last week, I was going back to school which is like 200 miles and I stopped halfway and during that time the clutch started squeaking a lot. Then when I got back to school it stopped and hasnt done it since.

Default squeaky clutch

Hi everyone, I've been browsing these forums for a while now an I people are complaining about squeaky clutches in their TC's! MY tc is a silver 07, it has about 31,303 miles on it an yes the clutch squeaks when its pushed in. I thought this issue was remedied after a visit at the stealership, after a couple of days it started squeaking again; so now I've learned to deal with it.

Hey guys, My clutch has been doing this for a few thousand miles in my 05 (at 80k now) it hasn't been bothering me that much (I can only hear it when my windows are open, at a standstill, and pumping the clutch) but I would love to fix it. However, the pictures no longer seem to be working on Scionlife and clubsciontc. Any chance someone could reupload the pictures? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Walker

I had this issue just about 2 months ago. I hated it so much. I went to schucks and got some grease, applied it to the part that was making the noise and in two days time it went away. Never had a problem since. The dealership cant and wont do you any good to go to unless you have someone there who actually really cares about fixing someone's ride.

Here is a video of after i applied the grease and started working the clutch. Like i said it too a couple of days before the squeak went away but it will be gone forever.
