Another thing to document as a figured I will see a few more tCs in lemons racing soon and want to give people a place to start off with. When building a cage please measure and compensate for your rule-book, bender, and materials used.
Below are pictures on how i did it and the measurements/angles for the the main bent sections of a the roll cage. Adjust measurements as needed to fit your divers and cage. Please use a tape measure for the rest of the cage tubes as most of it can be done with straight tube after this.
Grounds rules for my Cage
Cage build based on NASA, 24 hours of lemons, and Champ Car rule books.
Must run dash bar and wanted to keep stock dash bar for installation of dash.
Cage to be built on rocker boxes with reinforced plates under boxes.
Main hoop to sit as far back as possible to adjust for different size drivers.
Used 1.75x..095 (13 gauge) tube with 1/8 in plate for rocker boxes and floor
Used Rouge Fab M600 tube bender.
Usually added a bit extra 2-4 inches to my measurements in pictures so i could cut some off to adjust the fit.
Measurements are in Inches indicated in Black and Angles in Red with *
The build is in progress but i will post pictures as it continues for reference.
If anyone would like pictures of anything in particular please let me know. As i said this is a work in progress so everything is just tack welded in the pictures.
