Dear Scion: Bigger fuel tank in the xB.
Getting 30-32 mpg is great!
Having to start looking for a gas station before hitting 300 miles is not.
Nothing extravagent. Maybe 14 to 15 gallons would be nicer. Run the range of the xB up to 450 miles.

There is a trade-off to that though. Bigger gas tank = More weight on a 108HP engine = SLOW...er. It already takes the xB over 10secs to get to 60, adding more weight, especially liquid weight, will be very detrimental to your performance. On top of that, more weight = less MPG.

But as you get farther down in the level, you will get your mileage back. More weight would only really hurt you slightly in the performance, milage problem. Yes. I'm also one of the people who fills up completely at the gas station. Oh well. The trip I just went on probably won't be happening again with the box. I'd be taking a different car. And I wouldn't trade my 2.0 in just because the fuel tank was bigger. Maybe.

I never really saw it as a problem until I drove across the country. Then it got pretty annoying stopping a couple of times a day--- especially when you are used to a turbodiesel VW that goes 700+ miles on a tank! That said, the 10 gal tank is about right for a car of this size and the range is about average among passenger cars I think.
The weight is not a significant factor, 5 gallons of gasoline weighs about 30-35 lbs, barely as much as a weeks groceries. Most of us probably carry more than that in random cargo in the car at all times. It's quite possible that there just isn't the room for a 15 gallon tank under there. It's not a normal thing for a car this size with an engine this small to have a 15 gallon tank anyway, so it's not to be expected.
