I knwo the majority of people here on ScionLife want FI, but what percentage of overall Scion owners do they represent? I would guess a small one. At least they support the tuning community, if only for marketing purposes. Trust me, the Honda and Nissan people would love to have corporate sponsored VIP drag strip events. Scion's probably been the most proactive in that respect. Of course, you're warranty is still shot if you throw a rod.

I do wish they released the 1NZFE TRD turbo over here though.

this makes perfect sense... thanks for not posting like a A-hole like some others on this thread.

I really appreciate it!

after reading all of these posts I'm not sure if it were mentioned or not... But did no one think that Scion does not have a LEASE policy? Owning a Scion is the ONLY way to get one!! Is it not in the equation that the majority of people that drive all of the Acuras, BMWs etc. don't own them they lease them? They can't do ANYTHING to them! Take pride in your ownership guys...

you can get a more 300-400 hp car for the same amount of money if you bought a restored daily driver car from the late 60's and early 70's

even more power if you put more mods in the engine...

see we all went through 3 pages but some here dont understand the point i've trying to say all along....

ITS SUPPLY AND DEMAND!!!

people want more power... and they dont mind payin for it... look at all the high hp cars that are being sold....

What works for one isn't the answer for all.
I DON'T want more power
I DO want more mpg
I DO want simple and easy to repair.
I DO want radical BOXY roomy looks.

Gladly Toyota chimes in on some of these.

the new currant toyota's doesn't give me the mpg i'm looking for and hybrids are too expensive

Don't know why Toyota don't simply put the engine avalaible in the Rumion ( xb2 domestic name ) Maybe cause japenese people weight less than american one .And maybe cause here in america horse power rule , simply look at all the thread here about turbo , supercharger , air flow, etc . The following review is from a Japenese car exporter ;
'' All modifications are Toyota Corolla Rumion gasoline. Under the hood, the most popular of them is the 1.8- liter engine with 136 horsepower, which works with the CVT gearbox and four-wheel drive. In combined cycle car consumes 6.7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. More modest modification of the engine is equipped with a volume of 1.5 liters capacity of 110 horsepower, “CVT” and front wheel drive. The unusual design of the exterior, comfortable interior and attractive specifications Toyota Corolla Rumion 2014 received positive reviews from leading automotive experts. ''
I think when they talk about '' modifications '' it's simply mean models or version .
The 1.8 with the cvt is allready in use in the last gen american Corolla . And yes when the review talk about the 1.5 liter engine , is for the xb2 not the xb1 (or the Bb ) who are still avalaible in their domestic market .
