Well new products will be arising for the tC relating to transmission. Are cars are getting 1-2 years old and some may be needing to replace clutch and flywheel.

A lot of questions will be coming up about these parts, and there really isnt any place to put such topics.

Things that could be covered in this forum:

-LSD
-Clutch
-Flywheel
-Short Shifters
-Shifter Bushings
(feel free to add)

Does anybody think we need a seperate forum? IMHO it would hurt.

I don't know if there are enough posts to warrant a new forum for it yet. I know we get a few LSD things here and there and a lot of Short Shifter... but for now the SS stuff has been fitting in fine in ICE/Interior.

I don't know. That's how Darren will see it though, are there enough posts cluttering everything else to need another forum?

Everybody looks at the SS as an aesthetic mod being in the ICE/Interior section... Part of it is, part of it isnt..

Just think, where are the Clutch questions gonna go? LSD?

 

That's what I'm saying though, until the questions actually start coming up, a lot. It probably wouldn't be done.

And I agree on the shifters. But since we don't have the transmission forum and SS's alone wouldn't require one, it's still an interior mod (for some part, at least more than it is any other).

 

If it is deemed appropriate, calling it "tC Drivetrain" would cover the multiple subjects...

 

I just looked at other tC based forums out there, and they already have this section covered. We should have this secion also as a resource to our members.

 

We could change Naturally Aspirated to Drivetrain... then it might make more sense. I intend for that area to be used for all discussion of go-fast parts (excluding turbo/supercharger). Any problems with that change?

 

That might cause a stir if you try to bring back in the FI stuff after they had their own forum.

 

I see what Darren means - Change "Naturally Aspirated" to "Drivetrain" in both the tC and xA/xB areas so that both areas would have FI and Drivetrain forums with FI handling only FI, and Drivetrain handling all other drivetrain stuff. I like it.

Try clearing your browser's cache.. perhaps the menu is stored locally on your hard drive? That is the only thing I can think of.
