Default Bulb Sizes

Headlights: H4 / 9003*
Foglights: 9006
Brake Lights: 7443
Rear Turn Signals: 7440-A**
Front Turn Signals: 1157NA**
Side Markers: 194
Reverse Lights: 7440
3rd Brake Light: 124

*If you want Sylvania Silverstars, you must get the 9003, for the H4 will not fit or have correct beam pattern

** Corrected --Tomas

Please post here if you know any of the other bulb sizes. Thanks.

i think the three you didn't mention the size for all 194's I could be wrong cuz I haven't checked but most of the newer cars use 194's for brake/blinker

FYI if anyone even looks at this post: Do not get such a high wattage bulb like I was going to do. I got some advice....since it is running 55on low and 60-65ish (forgot) high beam, you dont want to push anything higher or you may run into the risk of damaging wires. The Gentlemen told me it is best to just get the running lights aka foglights

IMO, the guy sounds a little paranoid. I run the Xenon bulbs, 4000K bright whites. If you read the package, the wattage is still 55, they just look as bright as 100W.

the reverse lights are 7440 and the brake lamp is also a 7443. The third row brake light is a 124, looks like a 194 but higher wattage. Also the rear bumper side markers are a 194

I read that the H4 Silverstars will not work, the other H4's should work just fine.

Any idea what size bulbs are used behind the dash? Trying to figure out which bulb covers to buy... :?
Michoku, what size did you buy when you re-colored your dash lights?

I used bulb covers... I used 5mm sized covers...but someone on the forums used a pair of 194/168 covers for the little "fiber optic" domes in the climate control...

I don't reccommend the bulb covers, they're hella-dim!

Doesn't anybody know the size of the little bulbs that are used to light the climate control? They're prtty tiny. I wonder what they are. Would like to get colored ones instead of the existing ones that have the tiny yellow rubber on them.

For any of the smaller bulbs, 194, 74, ect., go to this website. http://superbrightleds.com/1157.htm They have whatever your looking for in a lot of colors. I bought some blue ones from them when I had my Protege5. They are really bright and they ship fast.[/url]

It's hard to tell brom the picture how bright they are, but the lights were green and I changed them to blue.

Why do you say this? I have the H4 silverstars in my xb and they fit fine and the beam pattern is the same as stock :?

Scotch tape + sharpie marker = bulb cover/condom for pretty much any bulb that's easy to swap out, worked for me.

I've got 100W headlight bulbs, and I've been running them for a couple of weeks now with no problems to the wiring. The headlight system has relays in it, which will allow for a higher wattage bulb. In older cars without relays, burning up was a common problem, but not nowadays.

Hope this helps!
