About the glare, do you think its possible to install some kind of "eye lids" to eliminate the glare?

Well, I can say from personal experience that they will show up. Have patience...I love my 4300K's! They give off a lot more light than the stock bulbs. I now want to get some fog lights so I can HiD them too for even more light. I drive to and from work in the dark no matter what time of year...

Default Pricing

Hello,

I was just wondering if the mobileHID kits are still on sale for $140? If you are, could you please let me know? I've been considering your kit for a while now, since I picked up my xb2. I hope the price hasn't change as I really want them before the new year

Thanks, happy holidays!

I think that price is only for past customers now.

$140 right now. I missed out on this price when I got my 4300k set a couple months ago, but I did get a T-shirt! These lights are one of my favorite mods. I hope they last for years...

Thank you so much, "rockthebeef"!!! I was so worried they'd already raised their prices with inflation. Anyways, I really do appreciate the hookup. Happy Holidays!

Yah, thanks a lot RocktheBeef (I can't believe that's your SN...lol)...

This was a no brainer for me... I ordered right after you posted, but hope it comes with a harness so I can install it once I get it... Good lookin' out....

hehe. my SN refers to playing bass. What are you thinkin'? The only other thing I can think of rhymes with "smeef curtains".

Anyway... the kit comes with everything you need. If you want to get creative with mounting the brackets (for the ballasts) than you might need extra parts, but this is a complete kit.

first i thought i ran into a problem and after talking to cliffud i made a dumbass mistake. the bulbs wouldnt fit and it was because i was pulling out the hi beams instead of the low ones (i felt so stupid calling him about this...i wanted to tell him that i did in fact have a college degree to redeem myself )

but i did run into a second small problem which cliifud help me out through as well. the cord that came off of the cars headlights wouldnt fit into the socket for the HID's. after some small modifications on the socket it fit and everything worked out fine.

overall the install is VERY easy (and trust you me im a complete newb when it comes to this kind of stuff) if it wasnt for the socket problem i could of finished the install within 15 mins. pretty much went like this:

-take old bulbs out, put in HID bulbs.
-connect the power wires to the battery
-install HID ballast (i just used some industrial strength velcro tape)
-run the wires across the engine bay with the zip ties
-plug all the wires in
-plug the socket from one of the old headlight to the HID's

thats it.

heres some pics of where i installed the HID ballasts:

and the wires connecting the power- and i ran all the wires along the fron of the engine bay underneath where the hood latch is

man what a big difference what .looks good!

Personally I don't see why you'd waste money on lights when you could buy more go-fast goodies or better appearance items.

Lighting = safety. Seeing is quite important, not over rated at all I think...

LOL, I wouldn't want to spend so much on Speed for the xB, since that much money can go towards the same parts in another faster veihicle.. :T
