My car needs a bandaid
I've had my tC not even 2 months and now it may be totalled
Some guy lost control of his vehicle on the interstate, turned a 180, missed everyone else beside me, then came in my path. Once he was in front of me and in my line of vision, I literally had like 5-10 ft to stop and slammed into him at anywhere from 50-55mph. Luckily, it was in an area where two interstates merge or I probably would have been going 75 or so. That would have been not so good...
I'm so sad!!! But sorry, no pics b/c my camera phone won't let me email them to myself.
I did send a concerned letter to Toyota though, because my airbags didn't deploy even though I hit with the front of my car, and my seatbelt failed to lock until I had lifted out of my seat with the impact and hit my head on the top of my car.
I'm okay, but I did leave the hospital with a head contusion and whiplash.

i don't know about you... but it's a good thing that your airbag didn't deploy...
means it might not be totalled.. and/or they are just very damn expensive to replace.

ahh ok wow, this is definately a time where you have the right to sue for the seatbelt issue!!
unlike people who are too quick to sue because their airbag didnt go off when they rolled their car or something and think that they just got lucky and survived.. when really the airbag would have made things worse.. lol

That's exactly why I don't necessarily want to sue. I'm always ranting how we're a sue happy America and I would just feel like a hypocrite. However, I'm def not going to refuse anything that Toyota voluntarily offers me!
yup, I think people give today's significantly smarter safety features significantly less credit than they deserve
I mean... if everyone wants simple... we could go back to airbags that deploy at full force no matter what... carburetors... leaded gasoline... no knock/ping sensors (and then we'll find it what it REALLY is to "lug" the engine
) you get the idea
