Default V-Kool: Solution to the scorching heat?

Does anybody ever thought of putting V-Kool tints on the windows of our cars? (They don't really call it 'tint' in their website)

Is this a good idea? Where can we get it installed? For how much?

Thanks!

V-Kool website:

http://www.v-kool-usa.com/index1.htm

It's like a clear film coating that reduces heat when the sun's rays pass.

I heard it makes everything a bit greenish. If it wasn't for that I would put some on my windshield.

I would really get them installed on my car if I can just know how much would it cost. I'm planning to do all the windows, hatch, windshield, and roof. Obviously, I hate getting them tinted. I just really love the look of a car with clear windows. But I hate getting sun burns!!!

I have actually seen this film in person. It rejects almost the same amount of heat compared to most 5% tint film.

It does have a green look but its not that noticeable.

I wanted to get these for my front windows, until I heard the price. I believe it was like $300 just for the front two windows. Most shops won't carry it because it cost so much.

There's a Bently GT around here that has some kind of film on all the windows including the front windshield ...it looks just like non reflective glasses when light hits it, kinda green and purple.

Yea, its basically tint without the... tint.

Some people don't like the dark look. They like clear windows - so this works for them. These same people consider tinted windows ghetto/rice.

Personally, I primarily wanted something to reduce the heat; because Lord knows we need all the help we can get with our weak ACs.

Secondly, I wanted it for a little bit more privacy. I only have 30%, so its not super privacy... but better than clear windows.

Oh well... I guess that makes me a ricer.
