The only "modification" I talked my mother into was to clear bra the front end and mirrors since it's something I wish I would have done to mine. They also did the door jams which is an interesting addition I hadn't thought of.
Anyways, pictures of her Teal xB hot off the lot. I've already asked her to take pictures of the edge of the bra to get an idea how much coverage there is.

It was installed by whomever the dealer uses and thats about all I know. I'm assuming its a one off job until someone makes a template for the car.
*this is when I hope my mother or Nancy see's this to answer those questions*

This is kit is 42% larger painted sruface than the old gen box so be fair warned people are going to charge more for it.
We have already installed three kits that are pre-cut
It is not easy for the average joe to install.
We have the kit for $400.00 for SL, non Sl is $480.00 plus install.
Just did a hypnotic blue late las night for a buddy with blue headlight film. Hope to have photos soon.

Glad your mom got protected these front ends are huge and going to take a beating. I would agree that looks to be a custom hand cut kit on the box.

Thanks for the pics. The door sill edge seems to need it the most IMO from people getting in and out with their shoes scuffing it. I am going to pick up some 3M today to protect it.

That and the rear bumper top area for loading and unloading. Lots of traffic in those areas. We got film for that too

My mother decided to get the OEM rear bumper cover but I tried to talk her into the film.
I'm interested in checking it out in July when I go home for a visit. She may chime in with some information of her own.

I picked up 10 feet of 6 inch 3M film at Stickercity in Sherman Oaks for about $40. The guy there was extremely helpful and came out to look at my car. The front door sills I decided to do it with 2 pieces about 24" in length and the top piece was 2.5" thick while the bottom piece was about 2.125". The reason why the front door sills in 2 pieces is because there are several corners along the way that can make it difficult for the film to adhere. The rear doors only need about a foot long section.
Using the instructions, I completed all of the doors and the vertical section of the hood and lower part of the bumper in about 3 hours or so. The key is to have a good knife, spray well, and keep your towels in order. I got better with each piece and there will be some bubbles as you move along. Some I popped, some I left there to see what will happen. The material was easy to work with, it helps to have some tinting experience. It's great having that peace of mind when friends and I get in and out of the car now.
As for the rear bumper, I might buy the OEM Scion protector just as part of the color scheme. It actually wouldn't be that difficult with the 3M film now that I have experience but the OEM piece looks cool on my white.

The first time I saw anyone with that, I thought they got keyed, then I looked closer and was thinking, how that is a great idea.
