I'm wondering if the new xB will be covered in Siphon Magazine like the real xB? It isn't a micro wagon vehicle anymore so what do you all think? :tap:

View Full Version : Will Siphon include the xB2? bB2NER 05-18-2007, 04:59 AM I'm wondering if the new xB will be covered in Siphon Magazine like the real xB? It isn't a micro wagon vehicle anymore so what do you all think? :tap: burstaneurysm 05-18-2007, 05:45 AM I agree with the whole micro wagon thing, but I can see them featuring it a couple times... krispies13 05-18-2007, 07:38 AM Wouldn't doubt it.. it has the "xB" badge so It would be featured as well... Speaking of siphon, they are still quarterly am I correct? I wonder when are they gonna have monthly issues.... Anyone have any Ideas? hotbox05 05-18-2007, 08:58 AM yeah unfortunately. it's small"ISH" not small but still smaller than a lot of other vehicles out there. a bit of a shame imo. oh well. aalbertson3 05-18-2007, 03:49 PM I remember reading the new xB will not be featured in Siphon. It is no longer a micro car, and Siphon is a micro car mag.... bB2NER 05-19-2007, 02:47 AM I'm pretty sure the xD should qualify tho. ZOMGXB 05-19-2007, 03:05 AM I remember reading the new xB will not be featured in Siphon. It is no longer a micro car, and Siphon is a micro car mag.... Oh wow. I hadn't even thought of this until I read this thread, so that's good to hear. With all the "OH THANK GOT THEY FIXED THAT MUTANT LITTLE CAR" talk, it's nice to see somebody else who proferred the original. Besides TTAC, that is. ;) Maybe the B2's will get a "just a regular car" mag :lalala: JK  L4rry_B1rd 05-19-2007, 11:10 PM yeah, that Mag is called Micro Poser  bB2NER 05-20-2007, 02:51 AM Now that Scion is out of the square car market I wish Nissan would bring over the Cube. Can't get enough square cars on the road! ZOMGXB 05-20-2007, 09:08 PM ^^ Yeah, but Toyota reliability owns the hell out of Nissan reliability. There's no beating #1...except in listening to customers, apparently. Anyway, something just occurred to me. Since the new xB was apparently designed to scare away people like us, Siphon shouldn't even bother. In fact, NOBODY should bother making aftermarket parts for the new xB. You know why? Because based on most of the people I talked to, the average B2 driver will be FAR more concerned with little Kaylie's Science Fair Project and getting to the dry cleaner than any kind of aftermarket mods. These people don't want unique or distinctive, or they'd have bought one of the first-gen boxes. These are the people who waited because the old one was "too weird-looking." :tap: Do you really think they're going to want custom wheels? Everyone interested in owning something different has already bought one - the xB2 was designed for the sheep of the automotive world. "Wow, it's incredibly boring and just as big as everything else now! FINALLY, I can get one!" They're getting a great deal and making a smart buying decision, but do you REALLY think they're going to be interested in aftermarket mods? Maybe if they're advertised in Real Simple. bB2NER 05-21-2007, 05:29 AM ^^^Yep, that's about it in a nut shell. Nicely put!!! Anyone have any ideas when the new issue is due? hotbox05 06-13-2007, 08:51 AM oh soccer moms love custom wheels, think about how many old white people driving in yukons and such with chrome 20's or 22's. almost all of them. burstaneurysm 06-13-2007, 02:26 PM This is true... however, the xB2 will have its place. We currently have two of them in our crew, both are sitting on 20's and one has some pretty extensive bodywork planned for it. So yea, it might not be as unusual as the 1st gen; with the right work, it should fit into the Scion community just fine. bB2NER 06-13-2007, 06:58 PM This is true... however, the xB2 will have its place.
