I just wanted to share with everyone that I just found out last night about a NCCA car show/backetball event tomorrow at the Key Arena. I will be showing with some of the guys from Exotik.
I know it's last minute, but I wanted to let everyone know. I don't know any details about the show other then what's posted on the web site (link below). I have been trying to find out more details, but I haven't been able to find anything. I've been trying to find out if there are any different classes or categories or even if there is awards or such or is it just a way to display your vehicle amongst others.
Anyhoot, here is the web site

I talked to Andy (NCCA prez) about this a couple of weeks ago. For all of you NCCA members this is NOT required for this year's points chase in terms of competing in all regional shows BUT they will be awarding points towards the points chase here (x1).
This is an event where it is less individual judging and more consensus judging. The NCCA judges will be around at each of the cars giving advice and answering questions with each owner.
There is a limit of only 50 cars allowed to enter!!!! So do it now if you want to go (they just posted up the info the other day so don't worry...everyone else is scrambling too).

So CA, I'm not trying to rant, but if you had talked to the the NCCA Prez about this couple weeks ago, why didn't you make mention of this event so that others could have made prior plans or arrangements to attend this event.

I'm sorry that this caused such an issue for you. When I had talked to Andy this was still in the planning stages and there was nothing in terms of information or registration to be had. There was nothing nailed down. He told me to basically "keep an eye out for it".
I kept checking and nothing...nothing...nothing.
Well needless to say with my move I was without internet for sometime and when I finally got back online I had other things to attend to. As soon as you jogged my memory I searched for the info and updated this very thread.
I take it from your accusatory tone that you think that I was somehow hiding information from the greater community and I am offended by that. I thought that NCCA members would be notified as soon as the details were nailed down. And to that end, it is an NCCA member's responsibility to follow what the national circuit is doing...not mine.
But oh well...good luck and have fun!

I'm sorry you mis understood the tone of my messsage. I was just confused when you had said that you talked to him a couple weeks ago and didn't relay any information in regards to this event, but I understand you were busy with your move and I know I am not the only one who just wished we would have know about tbus sooner.
I am currently a ncca member and I never received any information about this event. On another note, thanks for the info.

Well for those who are going or even stopping by, I will see you there.
Kk, ya from what I heard Team Menace is hosting this event as well as Pit Stop Performance. And I am surprised they didn't email ncca members about this event and there wasn't any advertising either so kinda strange i guess.

It went well.. It was a nice warm day, that's for sure. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it was mostly like a informal get together. There was a informal judging and they had 5 classes (Best Import, Best domestic, Best Euro, Best of Show, Best Truck/SUV). It was a nice day to just chill and relax.
Ya, I never got a email about this event either until after I already registered. It was fun, got a little burnt while hanging outside and the basketball event got off to a late start, but was fun to watch.

You should call Andy to ask whether any points were assigned to you for the national points chase. Here is his number: 516-818-4029
Also, for more information on the calendar of events:
http://www.nationalcustomcarassociat...schedule.shtml
And the current points chase leaders:
http://www.nationalcustomcarassociat..._leaders.shtml
The Scion category has cars that have only been in one or two events so far.
