PNW Summer Cruise, BBQ and Potluck - planning
This is the planning topic for an as yet totally unplanned event that may or may not happen.
This is to get the massive load off the Mt. St. Helens Cruise, BBQ and potluck topic an over to there where it belongs... a new topic.
Thanks for jogging me to do it, CorreyAnn. :D
So, here we go!

So, here we go!
I had a few of an older style ScionLife sticker, but since the store closure
I've either distributed those few I had or already promised them to others.
I have the file for the current style so that if someone cuts vinyl (or has a
friend who does) they could cut a few, but so far it doesn't seem anyone
has taken on that project... (The Boss released that file so that people can
use it.)
Uh, here's a copy: http://tijil.org/scionlife/scionlife.scv ...
As to big events, just keep your eye on the PNW Region forums here - if
anyone knows about 'em they usually end up getting posted.
I was glad to see y'all made it over for the Mt. St. Helens Cruise! Gotta
represent those xAs! :D
Take care,
Tom

I know there was talk of doing a run up to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. That's a nice drive, too.
It'd be fun to go to the Oregon coast, too; Canon Beach, Seaside, Astoria, Newport, etc. There are some amazing road that lead to the coast from Portland. I haven't been to the WA coast before, so I can't speak for those.

timberline is sounding kewl get to see redside and his wife i know they would enjoy meeting up again with us. do like a drive to timberline and find a park like we did and do a bbq type of thing. a little more time to kick back and chit chat hmmmmm.
I dont know how many of you "westsiders" are willing to drive over to this side of the state but we could do a meet at Couer d Alene beach. There is a few of us over here. Most, I guess, cant make trips over there. But if we could have that many people make it over here, then the Spokane/CDA area could see how many people there really is in the Scion community. Just one HUGE meet in the summer would be awesome. Takeaway the Silverwood show. Or even a meet in the middle of the state so everyone could drive about the same distance. I only got one more FULL day of "me" time then it is all about my daughter.
...or we could roll into something like Ritzville, WA and just take over. Nice little town. :D
Actually, those folks on the east side of the mountains probably know of nice places to meet up and enjoy the cruise and good eats when we get to someplace nice.
There are actually a lot of places I like over there, though it often tends to be tiny towns like Ritzville, WA or Wallace, ID. I don't know much of the area, though, so I don't know any nice quiet, beautiful park lands or whatever - that's where the expertise of the 'locals' comes in.

I was reading up and saw mention of a possible thing during octoberfest in Leavenworth, WA. I grew up there and that would be a fun place. I know the parks pretty well in the area, Wenatchee included. I just really have a itch to attend another meet, lol.
I'm trying desperately to think of something in the middle of the state, but even though there are some beautiful places out there in the middle, there is zero shade and most folks would just bake. I can't think of a really nice place for a BBQ/potluck, etc.

Darn...we missed the Classy Chassis car show...but what about places like Wenatchee? Or Lake Chelan? Or Cle Elum?
Since I just cleared page 16...I'm thinking we need a new thread for other ideas going forward for the next cruise.

Is June 30th too soon for this cruise? If it is suggest up a different weekend and I will try to put it together.
I am checking today to see if my plan will come together for a cruise through astoria and on into long beach for a lunch at the surfshack sandwich place.

The coast would be fun, too. Any excuse to head west, I say.
