My Megan Racing header came in the mail yesterday. I installed it, and I really enjoy the lower end torque it gave me that was taken away by my Tanabe Concept G and WR short ram combo, but I'm not loving the sound. I don't want to take it off due to the gain in power. So could I get some answers for three questions.

1. I'm planning on getting a Megan downpipe and midpipe and getting a buddy of mine to weld on a resonator (I'm looking at the ones from Dezod). Would this help the rasp much? Better yet, would it almost take it away?

2. What size resonator should I get lengthwise? 12'' or 18"?

3. Would the Megan midpipe be 2.25" in diameter or 2.5?

 

Resonator = Rasp Killer.

Bigger the better with the Megan header.

 

^ ack is right. try a 30in resonator and that should def. kill the rasp.

What about a 13'' Magnaflow high flow cat? Or would a long resonator do the same or better?

 

If you're replacing your midpipe, you may want a high flow cat AND a resonator.

 

Would that compromise any performance?

 

Not anything noticable. Even with a highflow cat and a resonator, you'll still have a freer flowing exhaust than stock.

 

Anyone have a clip of header with injen exhaust?
