Default Audio experts, need some good advice!

Hey everyone, ok bascically I wrecked my old car about 1 month ago and I took out all of my stuff out of it and its just sitting in my garage now. Ok well i have my old deck amp for the highs, lows, a 2 kicker 12" l7s. Well anyways my quesion was that I heard on here that the speakers that come stock with with the scions are actually pretty good and that they sound pretty good with a new deck powering it(got a new 08 tc). My question is do you think that these speakers can handle being run off my amp that I have for my highs "alpine mrv-f345, about 4-ch @ 75 watts rms" or would the speakers probably blow. Also do you think i should just buy new speakers for the doors or do you truly believe these will be sufficient? Thanks everyone

I don't know the specs of the stock speakers, but I think you'll be fine. Just don't turn up the volume really high. You can upgrade them down the road.

I think im leaninig towards just trying to run the highs off the deck, because i really think that the amp would be way too much for the speakers because sometimes i like to turn it up really loud. If it doesnt sound good off the deck then ill just get some speakers. Anyone recommend any good components or coaxials that I might want to look into?

Just found the specs on the net, all speakers are 20W rms and 50 peak, so maybe thats a good match for my cd player.....or maybe its just not enough power lol.....those 2 12"s kinda overcome my highs even when i had my old civic and not even a hatchbak

Yeah, just invest in some component speakers.

for the time being, just run them off the deck and in the meantime save up for components/amplifier

run them off the amp but turn the gains down so it puts out maybe 30-50 watts to each instead of 75. it'll sound better and you'll have a lot of headroom so there should be absolutely no distortion. most speakers can take much more than the rms spec if done properly. take for example the audioque hd line of subwoofers, the spec says 1000 watts rms but people have given them 2000-3000 without any problems. even the owner of AQ says they should be good up to 3000 if done properly. just for an example
