Default 2006 Scion Steering Wheel Audio Control Help!

Dear Scion xA owners and experts,

I am kindnna starting do some upgrades to my stock Scion / Toyota 2006 xA, and I already purchased HID headlights and the top of the line Audio system (T1809 Pioneer) as upgrading from Kenwood Exelon installed in 2006 replacing the OEM audio system. (I want things to be OEM)

My question is, my steering wheel doesn’t come with Audio Control but doing some eBay searching i found a neat
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151475203712?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Which already has Audio controlling and cruise controlling (I know Cruise Control wouldn't work thats not my consideration now maybe later: D) so the question is; shall i get this steering wheel? In other words, if I managed to install the T1809 Audio system what should i do / buy to complete the setup and makes it work as OEM steering wheel audio control? What harness i need? Which connector/s at the back? Do I need ECU update? Kindly I need a detailed explanations if its available by previous posts refer to me… am kindnna newbie on that field

P.S.; The car originally comes with lame audio system and no steering wheel audio control. But I did installed a sophisticated Kenwood Exelon 8000 Series (Touch screen with Sat Radio, GPS etc…) now I wanna be OEM devices ;)

I appreciate your kind assistance

Thanks

Have you looked at Crutchfield? They'll list any harnesses that might be required and they might even list your particular head unit.

Direct from the Crutchfield website:

Steering wheel audio controls

"If you want to continue using the steering wheel audio controls with your new stereo, you'll need to install a special adapter. For the 2004 and 2005 xB, you'll need the SWI-RC adapter from PAC. For 2006 models, you have two additional models to choose from. The Axxess ASWC-1 adapter can plug straight in without splicing, with the help of an optional adapter. The adapter from iDatalink will require some splicing, but you'll gain advanced functionality, like" press and hold," which allows you to get double the use out of your steering wheel controls. Talk to a Crutchfield advisor if you need help choosing."

I can't imagine any ECU change would need to take place.
