Default A/F Ratio gauges?

Im looking to buy a A/F AutoMeter cobalt gauge and wanted to know how hard they are to install. The prices I have found are around $370, but I have never purchased a A/F gauge. I have a cam con on the way and want one of these. Is $370 a good price for one of these A/F gauges?

If you have any mechanical and electrical experience you will be fine, if you can install a car stereo you will be fine. My AEM has a power and ground then you just route the other wires through the firewall. It will come with instructions.

Go with the AEM Wideband, top of the line gauge, exactly what you want to measure your AFR's

I believe the AEM UEGO's are a bit cheaper than the Autometer stuff. MSD also has their Lazer line out. It uses a Innovate LC-1 as the actual wideband. Comes with the gauge, but I believe it's like 60mm.

I have a LC-1 in my Evo, and the thing works great. I use it to log through my laptop directly. You can also get the Innovate LC-1 and get gauges for it as well.

As for installation, they should all be fairly easy. You'll need to drill into your exhaust pre-cat. Weld on the O2 Bung... Wiring should consist of a couple wires for power etc...

any diy for this gauge? also, you have to drill a hole somewhere and there has been some debate where the best place is to get the best readings for the air/fuel....any suggestions?

Yeah I looked at the AEM and am definatly going with the AEM. If it turns out to be a nice install, I might have to do a DIY writeup.

Dont forget welding will be required for all widebands (extra o2 sensor).

the LC-1 is pretty kool because of the data logging feature isn't the LC-1 a better choice for a few bucks more? or is there something the UEGO has that the LC-1 doesn't?
