Default MY TRIP TO ROCKY POINT MEXICO WITH PICS

Well I just returned home from Mexico to visit my mom and dad who live down in Rocky Point...I surprised my dad for fathers day and showed up at their door step on Sunday morning...I went with my brother and a co-worker of mine named Mike...We ate, we drank, we golfed, we fished, we played darts, we hung out with JJ (owner of JJ's cantina) and had Manny of Manny's Beach Club cook up our fish that we caught the day we went fishing...My mom and dad have lived down there for over 15 years and have become great friends with both Manny and JJ...My dad took us out fishing on JJ's boat...We caught about 45 fish in about 2 hours of fishing...I caught the biggest, a 25lb Sardinero (golden grouper), my co-worker Mike caught a 20lb Pinto (a type of Grouper), and my dad's friend also caught a 20lb Pinto...I also caught a 10lb Red Snapper...The other fish were nice sized (5-8lb) Cabrilla's (Stanger Fish) and a few Cornejo's (Rabbitt Fish)...All in all we had a blast...Here are a few pics...Hope you enjoy!

A day of golf at the Golf Course that my Dad works at as a Ranger (We Golf for FREE):

My co-worker Mike with the Beer Girl:

Were going fishing! Gotta stop and get breakfast...Beer and donuts! Look at the name closely:

Gotta pick up the boat from JJ's:

Mike thinks he's ready! He got SUNBURNED...Look at the top of his feet, you can see the red!

My dad the Captain:

My brother with breakfast, beer and donuts:

My 25lb Sardinero (Golden Grouper) Notice me sporting the Scion visor cap?:

Fish well starting to fill up with fish:

Sardinero again:

Sardinero and 10lb Red Snapper:

My brother holding my fish (left) and Mike's fish (right):

And finally, the mother load!

I would love to do that kind of fishing..... Wow! That is a dream of mine. The best I have pulled in was a 4 lb striper out of Un-Pleasant. Nice fish!!!

Nice,

I was just there in April and my fishing excursion got cancelled due to it being to windy and the water being to choppy.

I am going back for my birthday in July. I cant wait!

WOW TIM! That looks bad a$$! I have never been to Rocky Point. I didn't imagine it to look like that. I grew up in El Paso, so seeing Jaurez evry day, you think all of Mexico looks that way.
One day I'll get down there.

Thanks for sharing Tim.

How was the golf course? I saw it when I was down there for Spring Break but I didn't have my clubs. I might move down there in a few years when they open the new highway to Cali. They are putting a resort/course on the highway and I'd like to be the head pro eventually. They have really made progress on those hotels since I was there though. I also drank a lil at JJ's...

TIM, Your not reaching out as far as you should on your back swing. Try to open up your stance and give your club a little more loft...LOL

I'm kidding..Golf in Sandy courses is fun...putting is like trying to push an Excursion up a hill...

Nice pix!
