Default yet another, "I can't wait.... I just ordered..."

Put a deposit down today. Unless something goes terribly wrong, I'll be getting my new box in 2-? days.

Automatic, mats, cargo net.. will be in central Pennsylvania @ Penn State...

Just saying "HI"

I'm a multimedia programmer for World Campus (Penn State) and I'm moving on from a 2005 Sentra SE-R Spec-V

I had a gigantic list of reasons why I traded, but the main ones are safety/reliability/practicality.

I had a great experience so far with Jerry Brancefield @ Joel Confer in State College, PA.

Will most definitely update with pictures and impressions when the box comes in.

I am in the same boat as all of you. I ordered mine last Thursday and am going insane waiting for it to come in. Must have something to do with it being the NBM with a 5 speed.

Changing from an 05 spec-v? I was considering purchasing a 2003 spec-v with just 30K miles on it, or getting a new 2008 xB for twice the price, plus tax. Looking on Edmunds, the 5-year true cost to own pits both of these cars at around $35K-$40K in cost over that time period (SE-R is fairly expensive to maintain I guess, and is thirsty for premium gas). And with the increased practicality of the xB over the se-r, it was no question.

And so here I am, a new xB owner for almost a full week now. Luckily they had what I wanted on the lot, a nice basic manual silver xB with floor mats. I'll have a cargo net installed tomorrow. I'm almost to 500 miles already, after taking it home at 17 miles 6 days ago.

Congratulations on getting rid of the spec-v....those front ends have sucked since 2004 anyway...

The spec was actually a "premium recommended", so I used regular for some time now and it ran just fine (some may flame away, but I'm at a scion forum now... so... hehe). The maintenance on the spec really wasn't bad at all; though, I have no idea how it would have been in the long run.

The spec will probably be much more fun to drive than the box any day of the week under most circumstances, but priorities and circumstances have changed, so I'm very happy about the trade.

Financing is all set (800+ fico, 6.24%) and they're talking to a dealer about letting go of a car... waiting for an update from them... crossing fingers....

I feel really lucky.
Wife and I went in to our local Toyota dealer 2 weeks ago looking for a new lease. Nothing imparticular and we saw that they had a couple of the new xBs in (5 to be exact). After tthey let us tak home their Dealer xB for the night, we decided we were soon-to-be new xB owners. Went back the next day when the dealer opened. Got the Nautical blue w/ 16" wheels, Nav, Spoiler, Bumper applique, mats and door sill illuminations.

The next day, I went back to the dealer to get some more info on the xB (brochures for mods and stuff) and when I arrived, I found that the other 4 xBs on the lot had sold (all to employees of the lot).

When I read these posts of people waiting, I kinda feel bad.

I am not addicted though.

I got mine about three weeks ago. i traded my '07 tC for it. and i got to say i love the xB alot better it defantly corners better i know thats hard to beleive. but my tc with the TRD lowering springs rolled and swayed back and forth worst than a roller coaster. Just lowered the xB a week ago and im just waiting for some type of turbo or trd supercharger to come out.
