Default Long story...but xB is NOW HERE!!! **PICS**

So I bought an '07 Civic Si on 05-18-07. Over the past 38 days the car has been in the dealership for 9 of those days. The Civic had the front seat belt anchors replaced (horrible rattle/loose), new front strut (strange noises and feel in bumps), door lock malfunctions while driving, wobbling seats, grinding gears, and paint peeling off the bumper to cap it all off. I finally am being "bought out" of it for slightly less than I paid after American Honda got involved. I got my money tonight (Civic was paid off)...

Yesterday I ordered my white '08 xB. It is scheduled for delivery on the 4th of July. I work some long hours that week so we'll see when I take it finally. I have a window tinting appointment for the following Monday and will be putting an invisible vinyl layer on the front shortly there after. I will order my lowering kit and other accessories before delivery as they are hopefully cutting me a deal on install due to problems with Civic (Same auto group, different dealership). Wheels, other standard issue parts will follow.

Just wanted to say 'hi' and I will post pics soon. Any advice or 'concerns' about the vehicle would be greatly appreciated. I have scanned the forum already for problems...had I done that on the Honda sites I would have known not to buy the Si. Thanks...I want to be happy with this one

You shouldn't have been bought out for a dime less then you paid. Theres a Lemon-Law for a reason.

But if the end result means you are out of a terrible situation i think thats probably whats most important to you.

You're in a better place now :D

Welcome to the 08 club!

Agreed, but I wanted out and wanted out NOW! Lemon laws and headaches associated with them can take months to resolve.

Also, ordered my 4 factory accessories today and am jazzed that they are scheduled to be installed next week before I take delivery. Going with floor mats (mandatory), cargo cover (mandatory, transferring subs and amps from Honda), rear spoiler, and lowering kit. My wheels are being ordered tomorrow (don't know which ones for sure yet, but 18s for sure). The invisible nose mask and window tint happen the week after delivery....

I can't wait!!!!!

Okay, so the white "came in" despite my attempt at telling them I did not want a dealer trade. Well that is what they did and did it from Washington!!! (I live in Oregon) I came with two hundred and some miles and one of the panels had an odd little spot.

I noted they had received a silver automatic the same day off a truck. I was told that it was sold to a sales guy and he wouldn't let me have it even though he wouldn't be ready for another week. Manager stepped in and "yielded" his silver automatic to me. So now it will be silver instead of white but I can't pick it up until tomorrow because it literally just came off the truck.

Wheels are in already for it and the factory accessories are on order. . . can't wait!!!

Here she is!!! Got it yesterday with 4 miles on it and now have 10. I will basically not be driving it until I get the invisible bra put on which will be done the 17th. Two weeks without driving my new baby? It is worth it.

My stereo gets installed Saturday, tint next Monday, and factory accessories sometime before the 17th (cargo cover to conceal subs, floor mats, rear wing, TRD lowering kit). I will put on my black 18s once the lowering kit is done so I can get it aligned.

Looks very nice!

I think you're much better off with the "fresh off the truck 4 miles on it" one!

I don't understand how can they do these dealer trades and drive the car 200+ miles. I sure wouldn't be interested in that!

Just got the tint done (20% over back windows and front), lowering kit, and wing. First pic is before the drop and wing...the last two after. Tomorrow is stereo and wheel day.

Nah cause mine doesn't look like that anymore either.

That looks nice with the black wheels. That was my other choice before I ended up doing the silver ones.

I have an appointment with one local auto detailing/tinting type business. There is another local business that does it but hasn't returned my call. More likely than not it will be the first one because, well, they call me back.
