Default Lines for water cooled turbos

Hey Guys, I'm hoping I can get a detailed pic or instructions on how and where the water lines would tap into for a water cooled turbo.

Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

I think I heard at least one person mention they used the water in/out lines for the throttle body. This seems like an easy way for water lines since you will not need any real special fittings.

Yeah I heard that too. I just wanna do this install myself to avoid shop install fees. Just wanna know what I'm getting myself into. I'm sure I could do it, I just like to know what I'm doing before I do it.

the TB seems a little far to run water lines, im sure there is something closer.... i may poke around and see what i can find next time im under the hood... which should be really soon. there was a thread about this awhile back, but i cant remember the specifics of what they did... that was probably the TB one...

First, PLEASE excuse my shoddy illustration, I hope you can enlarge it to actually read what i wrote. Basically, there is a metal coolant line that runs behind your turbo manifold and connects to a rubber hose near where your oil pressure sensor is. Pull this connection apart, and run a hose from the metal line to the turbo, and run another line from the other port on the turbo back to the factory rubber hose and connect it with a nipple and hose clamps. (basically putting the turbo in series with the factory connections)

OR If you want a really trick setup you could use braided (heat resistant) lines and use the ports shown below. The top port is the supply, the bottom will be the return:

Please excuse the giant pics.

the bottom picture is probably a little unrealistic to use because the manifolds ive seen so far on the tc's they have the turbo sit very close to the block. not enough room to tap that, you even have to bend that line on some of them.

for the bottom setup, you would want to use banjo fittings so your lines exit at a right angle to the block. You would also want to run braided hoses much like our turbo oil feed line due to the heat in that area. You would want to pull off the turbo manifold and Dp to get your lines installed. The bottom setup is a recommendation from Kenny @ ZPI that I found in an OLD thread.
