Default Hey!

How's it going everyone? Just wanted to say hi to everyone out there since I am new to the forums here. I am a proud owner of a Flint Mica tC, and it has definitely been a great joy owning this car, even though it has only been a few weeks. Well, take it easy everyone, and see you on the posts!

congrats on your tC!! yeah about 5 weeks for me and i'm loving it.. had a bit of an issue of them overfilling the oil when i went for my first oil change.. didn't catch it for 800 miles or so.. and they drained it out.. but just to make you aware when you get your first oil change.. i've had one *LITTLE* rattle from the back, it was the cargo cover.. a little masking tape/foam tape.. fixes it.. I'm loving the sunroof! just too cool! that opening is HUGE! and the seats! i never wanna get out.. I love having to drive somewhere! now that's owning a car..

anyway congrats.. enjoy yours.. I know I'm enjoying mine.. glad scion listened and delivered a car we would WANT to drive..

Thanks man! Yeah, as for the rattle. It's weird, because sometimes I will hear something from the roof, other times it won't be there. I've read the forums about it, and supposedly it's just some loose screws, but...I don't know. As for any other stuff...I notice that anytime I apply pressure to the gas pedal, I will hear a small whistling sound coming for the engine. I can only hear it when i have my stereo off and I have my windows down. It's actually kinda cool =P But...I'm not exactly sure what it is so. Other than that, it thas been awesome! I just packed some of my sound stuff in there tonight because I gotta take it with me tomorrow, and man...my bass amp fits in the rear leg room, and my base fits perfectly in the back with the 60/40 split seats. well...just some ranting. YEAH! still loving my car...

hey.. yeah that whistle.. i've heard that from the engine as well.. I love that sound! It's the air rushing into the intake.. they put a resonator in the intake.. just the way they wanted the air to flow into the engine.. i too think it's pretty cool and yeah I agree that leg room in the back is just insane! There's not much room in the "trunk area" but take those back seats down and wow! When I went home to visit the family, i was able to pack all the same stuff i did in the civic coupe (96) i had.. i was surprised.. but hey it's all good..

yeah that rattle I heard from the back was because of the cargo cover, but I had a lot more rattles in the civic when it was new in 96, than this.. i could only wish the honda was this quiet.. I think scion did a pretty good job considering.. yeah enjoy.. hey did you get an auto or a manual?

sciontc_mich: I got the manual =) Had to man...just had to.

chris0: Hey man, thanks! And yes, I am definitely lovin' my car. As for the TRD springs, I actually have them sitting in my room. I just have to find the time to install them with a friend that has a spring compressor.

DuMa: Are you serious? I go to Cal Poly too man. =) Where in the OC you located? I mean, I am pretty far from it, but still, I know someone from Tustin. Maybe one day we can meet up over at school and just shoot the wind. Take it easy, and I hope your quarter isn't as hard as mine =T

Hey, congrats on your tc. Where did ya pick up your tc from? I have a white tc, and I've seen several other tc's rolling around. Someone in my condo complex recently picked up at Indigo tc, its just cool to park next to it every now and again. I've seen several silvers around where I live. Saw a black one for the first time over at Puente Hills (i went to the parts department saturday to order front and rear emblems... they got jacked on friday night *sigh* about $45 bucks.)

Well enough ranting, check out the Pacific South forum: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=22
info on meets and the like. There's a cruise night planned in misson vejo; I'll probably be there, and I know there will be several other tc's there too.
