So I just installed the Tanabe Medallion Touring Exhaust yesterday and realized that there were a very limited number of pics and sound clips, in fact, I only found one video clip. So here are a few pics and a clip.

Overall, this exhaust was excellent, I give it 9 out of 10. The fitment from the canister to the supplied piping was outstanding, it came with the gasket and screws and uses the stock screws to mount to the midpipe. The design is solid, it looks fantastic, and sounds even better. It's got a low growl at idle which screams into an excellent tone when accelerating quickly, however it has no drone or annoying loudness about it when on the highway.

Oh, and just because I'm a bit excited about it...

I just saw a couple of videos of the HKS exhaust on the tC, and I think I've made up my mind. Does anyone know if the HKS will fit on '07's? They only list it on their site as an '05-'06 system.

 

Fits fine, I can't remember where the clip was that I found, but I'll try to get one up here soon, like this afternoon or something.

sounds almost like stock. I dont really hear a rumble, the whizzing noise from the engine is still louder than the exhaust.... and at the higher rpms reminds me of a motorcycle.

 

I have an '07 with the HKS on it...

I like that Medallion Touring exhaust, seems to be a good volume and it looks great...

Yeah the camera doesn't pick up the low rumble, but under load, when I get on it it sounds absolutely awesome. Think like a G35 when I hit about 3K RPMs. I might be able to get a vid with better sound from my friends camera. The video doesn't even come close to doing it justice. At idle though there is just a little bit of extra rumble, but accelerating sounds amazing, I can't say enough good about it.

 

this is the exhaust i want to get, my frds shop can get the tanabe touring mad. can. and he is going to do the custom pipping.

how thick is the pipping 2.5????

 

Thanks for the pics. If only the tip is a litttle bit bigger. Well I already ordered this axleback and im excited to get it. Hey Sddk sounds like u like the exhaust alot, do you have any other mods that might change the sound? im going to install a invidia Spipe and a Tsudo midpipe. Hope that doesnt make it sound bad.

 

Shouldn't make it sound bad, I have the Injen intake as well. I'm planning on the Invidia s pipe too, should sound great. The install is a breeze and it looks and sounds great. Like I keep saying it's a sweet exhaust, just don't expect it to be really loud.

My tanabe keeps bouncing when im on rough roads. It finally burned or chipped off the paint under the bumper. Does anybody have this problem? i think itz becuase the stock rubber hangars suck? advice any1?

 

No problems on mine, try beter hangars from autozone or something.

 

Apparently autozone in san jose on capital sucks. They only had an extremely long rubber hangar or metal hangars. itz okay i ordered some hangars from kartboy. Hopefully that works.
