Default LED Mods

I searched around for a while and couldnt really find a definitive answer. What I want to do is change all the halogens lightbulbs to LEDs. I found all the types of LEDs to change in the front at rear lights such as the tail lights and the turn signals. I am curious do I need anything else because the one turn signal kit came with resistors and wondering if I need them for anything else.

halogen? change your headlights to HID's.... the lexus 460 has LED headlights, but that's way too much effort in 2007

as far as parking lights, and license plate bulbs go-they're filament- and autolumination.com or oznium are the most common places to get them... if you're going to change out your turn signals, you're gonna wanna get load equilizers or else you'll have "hyper flashing" blinkers - which is bad, cuz i had that blow out all my fuses.... and i dont really understand what "kit" you bought, but i dont think it should have came with "resistors"... hope i helped.... cheers mate

I have HIDS in the headlights. What I mean is LED's in the brake lights intsead of halogen. Also the Kit came with load equalizers for the turn signals.

stock brake lights aren't halogens.... but yeah, just put the LEDs in, if they don't light up, take out the bulb and re-insert 180 degrees spin- filament bulbs dont have positive and negative like LEDs. and make sure you use the load equalizers... but yeah, you're all set!

but most filament bulbs are brighter than their LED counterparts, just so you know...

this is what i did for my turn signals.

if your going to change out your side markers and such too your going to need more resistance though.

I read your write up and its pretty good but the side by side comparison appears to make the halogen bulbs brighter than the LEDs. But if im not mistaken the 06 xa do have LED third brake lights. The big bulb in my brake lights I want to change to LED but if its not going to be brighter than fuggadaboutit

if you want brighter- you're going to have to learn the soldering and DIY mods.... and use lexeon or cree bulbs... maybe superflux to $ave

these forums are geared more for that...

http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/view...314389c08b2efa

but due to LED viewing angles.... if not seen directly head on- (or if you have tint or some other obstruction) filaments are brighter
