one night i was talking with my friend and he told me that he got pulled over and the cop came to him and said pop the hood, my friend had c/f hood on his mazda3 but nothing illegal under the hood, so the cop couldn't find anything illegal and then just let him go. this is bull$#!+. I'm planning to buy c/f hood but kinda afraid of getting pulled over everytime cops see me.

calling ppl who have c/f hood on their car, have u guys had any problems with cops b/c of c/f hood (and other c/f stuff) ? I live in cali which sucks cuz cops always pull ppl over and give them tickets.

 

its probable cause to pull you over, but you wont necessarily get pulled over for it.

 

Sounds like 'the fuzz' was having a bad day or your friend is full of poop.

As long as you don't drive like an **** with the CF Hood on, you should be alright.
Don't give the po-po reason to pull you over.

I have been around cops a lot since getting my hood and never had a problem. As far as I know they aren't illegal so that is fine, but like the other guy said, it helps your car stick out like a sore thumb for probable cause of having somethin illegal under the hood. It really depends on how the cops are feeling I guess.

 

im in maine with a FM tC and CF vented hood, no pull overs here.

 

Never been pulled over down here in the Louisiana...

 

From what I understand of Cali, CF hoods aren't illegal per se, but give a cop an impression that something funky might be going on under the hood (as has been stated already).

So yes, just follow traffic laws and be courteous to other drivers... and hopefully you shoudln't have to worry about it.
