I still don't understand why the remote is wired to the ignition wire to a switch though. Now I'm wondering if I did find the remote wire, and there's just an issue with the W jacks.

ok
i said ignition powered wire
that means when the ignition is on there is power to it and when the ignition is off the power to the wire is off

and i re ran it to the gray wire and put the rca cables on the F jacks and everything is fine now

Thanks. I'll re-check mine with the F jacks. I wonder if there's just an issue with the W jacks.

I had the same issue with mine...I'm assuming you have the premium h/u. If so, turn the h/u off and then hold the menu button down...turn the eq setting to flat and turn the s/w control ON.

Once this is done, I would turn the ASL function to off. I would connect the RCA's to the W on the back or else you won't have control of the s/w.

All of this is in the manual for the h/u...there should be a separate manual just for the premium h/u.

Dude, thanks! I'm going to scream so bad at the dealership I went to. No manual for the stereo, the alarm goes off if you sneeze (literally, I'm not joking), and a few other issues. Time to get something free....

Anyway, thanks, boxful!
