Default Didnt know where to post: Valve cover Painting/polishing Q's

I was wanting to polish my valve cover, are there any precautions to removing the valve cover...or just take it off and do my business and put it back on?

yup, all you have to worry about is if you have a strutbar because once you paint it, you do not want to scratch the paint with the strut bar while putting it back on! Have Fun!

Don't drop anything into the valvetrain.

I don't imagine that you would want to harm your engine by accidentally dropping a half eaten donut with chocolate sprinkles in there.

It comes right off just watch the gasket putting it back on and do not over tighten the bolts or gasket can leak........
