Default Wrong LEDs for mirror swap now doing grill duty

I bought the 5mm LED's for the mirror swap & they were too tall.. So instead of leaving them sit in the drawer, I put them to use elsewhere.
They now reside in that black plastic peice that covers the gap between the top of the grill & the radiator.
Here's the underside of the peice with 2 banks of 4 LEDs with 1 resistor each. 1 bank on each side of center.

Here's the 'quick taps' into the front running light passenger side

Heres a picture at dusk.

And a bit darker...

They light up the area between the grill & radiator all the way down to the lower radiator. Didnt want to waste the 12$ I spent for the LEDs....
Now you guys have to talk me into taking them out!... Thanks for looking.. OPPPPS forgewt about that liscnse plate!!! jh

Pic at night with no flash might help us see better, I can't really tell what they're lighting up, sorry.

The first picture shows all eight evenly spaced throughout the length of the peice.. 4 each side of center.. I wasnt going for a "super car show' look.. just hoping for subtle lighting.. & that's what I got.. They stay on when ever the lights are one.. Not obtrusive in any way to oncomming traffic.. For those who dont like the 'holes' look of the grill will definetly NOT like this.. as they now shine thru the holes from dead on front view.... Not a lot of light, but defienitly a different sight.. thanks for your comments!!. jh
