Default Back Seat Center Seat Belt

Anyone else having issues with the center seat beat not staying up in the roof in its little "nook" while you're not using it? Every time I put it up there it stays put for an hour then falls down. I read the manual, and as far as I know I'm not missing anything. It doesn't snap into the holes or anything, just kinda sits in there, then falls out.

So like I said, anyone else having this problem or figured out how to make it stick?

Hmm. Manual. Never thought there'd be something about the seatbelt storage technique - gotta check it out.

I just ripped off the white label, then stuffed the end back inside the door panel where the seatbelt comes out of the side of the car. Looks pretty neat. Is the manual way neater?

Velcro? The saleslady couldn't even get the damn thing put in right on my test-drive. Might not look pretty when its down, but placed properly, you'd never see it. That middle seat belt will ____ me off when I buy mine, I can already tell just from a few minutes in there.

Velcro really does sound ghetto, but it has done wonders for the interior of some of my other cars, and can usually be placed out of sight.

EDIT: from what I can remember, it's kind of a pressure-type storage, so what about "filling" the top area a bit with something? Maybe if enough force pushes down on it, the metal tip will stay seated.

You could just pull the rear center seatbelt out, and nickname that seat the "widomaker."

Taking it out won't be pretty - holes will still be there.

When I put my seatbelt up I just gave it a little slack between the two pieces and it works fine. Does still look a little funny, I would rather be able to take it off of the top altogether and have it stored on the side.

Maybe mine is staying b/c I usually drive with the AC on so there isn't any wind to knock it out of it's nook.

I've been in your "widowmaker" seat, and with flown across your back seat when you've taken an on ramp too fast.

Use some of the seatbelt stuffed between the two connectors to create some additional pressure / traction - it will stay put.
