I have on order an eD Nine.4 and after seeing the measurements it looks to fit inside the spare tire for the stealth look.

Those that either have the same setup, or different small amps resting inside the spare tire, how are you securing it to the car?

 

mines just on a platter i made, so it elevates it so it wont hit the inside of the tire and scratch. its not really secured but it doesnt move tooo much ..

 

double sided tape will secure it

 

any overheating problems with covering it over with the carpet thingy? i know leaving it out with sun shining through the hatch already makes it pretty friggin' hot..

 

i had mines in there for a few months now, still no problems

 

Most everyone just mounts it on a board that fits inside the spare tire. Some have a round piece that looks cleaner, others have a rectuangular piece. I dremeled mine so that it fits snug inside the wheel. Been there for a few months as well w/o heat issues. Amp is an Alpine V12 4-ch.

 

Awesome. I've been trying to find an easy spot to mount the amp and wasn't sure if it'd overheat if I just stuck it in the spare tire and covered it - It's just ghetto ziptie'd down to some latches atm >.>
