Default Have 16's, have 17" tires wanna go for 18's

I have a BSP and cuurently have a set of 16" enkei wdm's which look ok for the minute(a whole lot better than stock) but I have a set of tires in my garage from my first gen that are 215/45/17 and are basically brand new. My dilemna is do I sell the tires and have the set that I have on the car or take the 17's and throw some rims on them or screw it and get the 18's?

The other dilemna is that I am a stickler when it comes to extra weight. I have previously bought a 10 w7 with a 500/1 in a ported box(sounded beastly) however not even a month later it sits in my room because it was that heavy for my tastemso you can imagine what I am like when it comes to rims. I want something like a almost stock looking rim but with it being lightweight or not insanely heavy to some degree.

Have never ridin on a 40 series tire and the area around me is escpecially pot holey(yeah its a word) I like the 45 series tire that I currently have in my garage plus I couldn't sell them if. So do think from my point that gettign 18's is worth it or should I just stick with the 17's that I have.

I know I rambled on for a bit.....sorry

i say ... stick with 17's and use the tires you have. you will not only save money, but you will have that peace of mind going through crazy bumps and you will have weight savings. win win win is how i see it.
