There are actually 2 diff model springs, the NF series which lowers 1.0/1.7" and the DF series which lowers 1.7/2.1 . Bigfieroman 09-05-2007, 02:12 AM You guys posted the spring rates of the new Tanabe springs. How do, say, the NF rates (2.6kg/mm all around) compare with the stock springs? Tanabe_USA 09-05-2007, 04:59 PM You guys posted the spring rates of the new Tanabe springs. How do, say, the NF rates (2.6kg/mm all around) compare with the stock springs? Any lowering spring is going to run harsher than OEM, because there is less suspension travel and higher spring rates. But the NF is a moderate drop, focused on max comfort. I am totally fine with that, I want to know how much stiffer they are to have an idea of the handling difference. It will still ride better than my Fiero (Poly bushings, 8.0 kg/mm springs, 32mm solid swaybars, and it weighs 2700#) But 2.6 kg/mm means nothing without the stock numbers to compare it to. I also want an idea of the additional work I would be putting the stock shocks/struts through. If your want, PM me the stock rates. uberspeed 09-06-2007, 04:24 AM I'd like to know them as well please. TIA Bigfieroman 09-06-2007, 11:40 PM I'd like to know them as well please. TIA Hey! Stop riding my damn coat tails! Pull a remora on someone else's soft underbelly! J/K, lol uberspeed 09-07-2007, 03:39 AM I'd like to know them as well please. TIA Hey! Stop riding my damn coat tails! Pull a remora on someone else's soft underbelly! J/K, lol I quietly state my stance on things. I started a whole thread on springs and have contributed to many a suspension thread. I usually ask for info on many threads. You happen to get to threads first and be vocal. :P Can't we all just get along? lol Tanabe_USA 09-07-2007, 05:46 PM You guys posted the spring rates of the new Tanabe springs. We've sold alot of these over the past few days since theyve arrived so Im sure that there will be a few reviews in the coming week. :) MikeInABox 09-07-2007, 07:11 PM Anyone know a place online that has them listed yet? Unfortunately there isn't a place anywhere near me that I could order them from. I only found one site that shows the 08+ xb springs but they still say not available. Guess I can just email them. Thanks. birdy233 09-07-2007, 08:54 PM I just contacted someone from Tanabe's website they have listed for dealers, gave them the part # and they called Tanabe and ordered them up. Tanabe...darn!! I was hoping to pick mine up today and install tomorrow and give my review. Looks like Empower where I ordered them didn't receive them today :tap: Tanabe_USA 09-07-2007, 09:02 PM Anyone know a place online that has them listed yet? Thanks. Since they are so new, nobody is going to have them listed on their website. But any Tanabe dealer will be able to get the springs for you. There are a few Tanabe dealers on the forum or you can also find a dealer on the dealer locator. http://www.tanabe-usa.com/dealers.asp Bigfieroman 09-07-2007, 09:50 PM You guys posted the spring rates of the new Tanabe springs. I do not want to hear from someone's uncalibrated ___-o-meter that your springs are "a little stiffer than stock, but really not bad", etc. I would like to know the numbers. You HAD to have measured the stock springs in order to engineer the lowering springs; so I know someone at Tanabe knows the stock rates. If you really refuse to tell me/us what the stock rates are, at least give a reason why not. Tanabe_USA 09-08-2007, 12:56 AM You guys posted the spring rates of the new Tanabe springs. Unfortunately that information was obtained by the R&D department in Japan of which they do not wish to disclose. You might be able to call Toyota and they may have an answer for you.
