Some more questions...
for an 07 auto tc turbo-ed.
1. Dezod's Throttle Body Black Box. I notice how it says in between 15-25% of throttle usage, the ECU overrides "E-Manage..." and makes the engine run to lean in that % area. Is this Black Box required even if i were to go with the Greddy Emanage Ultimate to prevent that from happening?
2. Dezod's S1 auto turbo for the 07s AND\OR TT's S1 GT turbo(still havent decided yet)-
IF the complete kit were to be already installed, can i still access the alternator and replace it without removing anything that is related to the turbo kit? I need to know this because i am also installing a large stereo system and need to know if i need to replace the alternator before i install the turbo to keep it easy.
3. Toyota fills with 5W30 oil, is that ok to use with a turbo dynoing at or under 250hp? and... since i payed for a 3yr oil change warranty, the turbo kit installs do not effect the way the oil is changed, right? I can still have it changed at the dealership?
4. If something were to happen let's say for instance oil leaks that may pertain to the turbo itself or not, smoke coming out of exhaust, etc... is my only choice to go to is the place that i had it installed\tuned at? In other words, if I were to suspect a problem with the car is related to the turbo being installed, i should not take it to the dealership? I know they won't fix it for free since it would void the warranty but am curious of they still have knowledge of repairing some issues like that at their normal labor charges.
I'm almost done researchin. I'm bout to buy me all the gauges, spark plugs, just all the little things before i purchase the turbo kit.
Oh that reminds me, i'm going to be purchasing 5 gauges. The tuner said he will fabricate the gauges on top of the dash for me. Do i need to buy anything besides the gauges? I don't need pods do I if he's fabricating?

reaching the alternator i don't think is a problem, but getting to the starter might be a problem i think.
as for oil changes, nothing changes when it comes to changing the oil other than i think they recommend 10w 30 for turbos, i'm not 100% sure, check with dezod.
if the dealership doesn't have the oil you need, just ask for a refund, they'll refund it.
buy a ten pack of genuine toyota oil filters from sparks, and a case of whatever weight royal purple oil you'll need and do it yourself, or when you need your oil changed, just take a filter and oil to a garage you trust, and pay them to do it for you.

and you don't have to keep taking it back to the garage that installed it.
it might be a good idea to take it back to them since they will be the most familar with it, but other mechanics at other garages would be able to fix and diagnose problems with your turbo tc as well.
and since your an automatic, get a tranny cooler to help keep your transmission alive and well.
and what gauges are you getting, you only need boost, wideband 02, and egt.

I would never dream of running FI, or even a fairly modded NA motor, without an oil pressure gauge. Oil dummy lights are worthless 90% of the time. I have seen a front seal blow and do serious damage due to oil loss before an oil pressure light came on.... with 1/2 qt of oil left in the motor. I am not even happy that most cars come with a light stock instead of a gauge. At high rpm and quickly falling oil pressure, you wont get an oil light sometimes until it is too late. The example I just gave was on a car of mine. The engine started vibrating horribly due to the oil pressure being low enough to relax the timing chain tensioner before the light came on. Did not turn out well for the engine needless to say.
Oh yea, even if i choose TT, i'd still buy the B&M tranny cooler that comes with the Dezod.
The 5 gauges you ask? I know that i may only "need" 3 but when it comes to safety and piece of mind, i like to know before anything major happens, you know?
Boost\vacuum
AFR
EGT
Tranny Temp
Oil Pressure
I really dont see a need for me to purchase an oil temp gauge... yep, no need, hehe.
I had been doin some research on where to install the tranny and egt sensor and i don't know about the guys on here since the info i was reading did not pertain to any particular car but have found out the following-
The tranny temp sensor is best installed on the outtake line going to the cooler.
The EGT sensor is best installed INSIDE of the manifold. Instructions on how to do this safely is on this website i bookmarked. They said that their research team had done extensive testing and found that the exhaust line is the worst place for one from temps ranging between 200F below to 400F over what is actually going on inside the engine.
I dont know if that's how the guys on here have it or not, just letting everyone know.

It's if I forget to get my oil changed, they will rush to my house and change my oil immediately to ensure proper functionality...
No, i'm just playin, hehe
The oil change warranty-
3yrs\36,000mi for ~$350 when you first purchase the car brand new.
They give you a book with a LOT, and i mean a LOT of coupons, mostly to have things done for free like oil changes rotate tires\tranny checkups and fluid replacements, steam clean engine and completely clean inside\outside of car, etc...
Basically, look in your maintenance book for the tC, everything in there, they have a coupon for, some up to 100% off. So, for the first 3yrs for example, i have my oil changed for free. (i payed ~$350 for the service which includes a lot more discounts for other stuff).

I would hope it does... they are going to be using dino oil in your car almost garaunteed. People running synth will change thier oil ever 5 - 6k for about $40 a pop if you do it yourself. So you can run better oil for less money than you paid for that maintenance. Steam clean engine is a quick process and clean the outside means running it through thier car wash at the dealer and leaving spots all over your car. So be sure to use ALL of those coupons to get your money's worth.
no, they don't clean the outside, they clean the inside.
Toyota always has free car washes so no need for a coupon.
I'm still curious on that throttle body that Dezod sells. I might just have to call them and ask em.
