So I was rear-ended by some car and I took it in to be repaired. I got bumped and the right rear bumper was ripped torn off at the screws. It's going to cost $1300 to be fixed. $1300!!!! Does this seem right???

 

well, go to www.trdsparks.com and see how much the cost of a new rear bumper is, and then get an estimate of how much it would be to paint it.

was anything else damaged?

if you got rear-ended, you shouldn't have to pay, did the other car take off? not have insurance? what?

I was 1 of 3 cars. "Screeeech! Bam, Bam, Bam, BAM!" So I'm guessing I'm going to be the last to get anything since I was the last car to be hit. And I don't feel like waiting six to eight months for the damn Texas insurance company to pony up.

 

I had same damage in a car wash on my 05 XB - Got 3 estimates - dealer was $1300.00
Local good body shop did it for $850.00.FYI a good body shop will blend the colors into the rear fenders - not just paint the bumper and install.
