Default Blue colors for Premium audio system?

I have a stock premiun audio system, and when I first test-drove an xB, I could have sworn that the animation showing was blue and white. When I bought my xB, the system was only showing Monochrome.

I've called Scion support, and they're saying that the radio only comes in monochrome.

Now, I believe that the car that I test drove also had XM installed. Would that make a difference? Is anyone else showing any colors in their stock Premium audio?

TIA.

Thanks - but I'm not talking about the button illumination. I'm talking about the display screen and the animations that go with it.

Sounds you like you test drove one with the Premium Pioneer OEM HU offering, not the bottom of the line stock HU.

It may have been a reflection off of something else... I don't know... it's only b&w. I guess you could get a blue overlay for the screen

NM - I found the issue. It was a different radio than the stock premium set.

for the price we pay for the premium audio, I really think the HU would have color screen but Noo..... they're black and white!

Hey guys didnt want to start another thread as I have a question somewhat similar to this topic. I went to the menu and switched the illumination to blue but when I escaped the stereo doesn't illuminate anymore. Tried going back to orange and now that doesn't work either. What am I doing wrong????

is ur interior light all dim? cause there is a dial on ur left side that determines the brightness of the interior lights.

If not, take it to the dealer.

do you mean if I have messed with the diming switch for the cluster, a/c controls, etc? No I haven't touched them.

All I did was last night was turn the power off on the radio, went to the menu to change illumination to blue, escaped out but no lights would come up blue the radio was completely dark the lcd screen still works though (did this at night). Turned the radio on & nothing, turned the power off and went back to the menu and switched it back to orange and that didn't work either.

Anyone got a clue??? Is the radio always illuminated even during the day or only at night?

dont take this the wrong way or anything, but you do have the headlights on when you're doing this right?

If so, it'll probably be best if u took it back to the dealer. Whether u bought the premium audio from dealer or not, it'll have 12month warrenty and xb's havent been out for 12 months (obviously)

I guess I'll check when I get out of work.......If that doesn't fix it I guess off to the dealership even though it seems like something I'm doing wrong thanks everyone!
