radio+HIDS= loss of reception?
ok so i bought an hid kit for my tc a couple months ago and also for my friend's Z and everytime we turn on the radio with thee headlights we lose like half the reception of the radio station then when we turn it off the radio's crystal clear.....is this normal for u hid owners, or did we do sumthin wrong with the installation..? little help wud be great..
I think it might just a electrical problem. Is the engine on while you are running the radio and headlights?
HID shouldn't have any kind of disturbance. If there's a problem with hte HIDs then the FCC should have something to say about it LOL.

FCC is a company that makes regulations regarding which electronic devices can produce radio frequencies and on which band. That FCC sticker on your electronics certifies that product acts as expected and does not produce radio frequencies outside its intended use.
In this case, your HID's may be putting out frequencies that interrupt your radio. It can happen in items that use ac/dc converter but still, they shouldnt by design.
What brand are your HIDs? Cheapo no names?
