Default Rear Bumper Skin Removal

Has anyone out there removed the rear bumper skin? If so,, any tips & how hard is it to do? I was slightly rear-ended. The only thing kinked is the "LT Mount Bracket", which costs $38.73. Once I get the bumper skin off,, it is just a couple nuts and bolts to replace the bracket. Any help/info appreciated..

there are just a few nuts on the inside middle portion of the bumper, the sides, you just have to get a firm grip and pop them out of the clips.

Narc,
Thanks. Sounds like you are saying it is not real tough... I have a bent bracket from the U-haul truck that hit me. I actually think it can be straightened pretty easily,, once I get it off. Even if it can't be straightened,, the part is 38$. My only concern was the removal of the bumber skin - since I have never done that. But It looked pretty easy,, and from what you said,, I think I will give it a try.
Thanks...

yeah, if you know what you're doing, you can get it off in under five minutes. I can strip the xA down to just the unibody in about two or three hours, but then again, I used to work for a body shop.

Thanks Narc,

I have done tons of mechanical work, but very little body. As long as I can get it done on a Saturday afternoon,,, I will be happy. Dealer wanted to replace the Mount bracket and the reinforcement. Like I said,, the bracket is 38$,, the reinforcement bar is 158$. From the impact, I am 2/16" tighter on the left than the right. Looking at the components, I can see that the bracket crimped a bit,, but there is absolutely no damage to the reinforcement piece. Will tackle it one of these weekends in the near future.
Thanks again...
