Just today when I started my car I hear a whistle under the hood (note that everything on my car is stock except for tein stechs and tanabe concept g exhaust system)...also in the same area there is a rattle that sounds like tick tick tick tick tick tick...can anyone help with this one?

 

Where does it sound like it is coming from?

 

couldn't help ya w/ the rattle or whistle, but the "tick, tick" is normal. I know there is a thread about that somewhere on here.

 

i dunno bout the whistle but the tick tick tick is fine thats the vvti basically and that comes from the intyake but can any1 help me out i have the tick tick tick thats normal but then i also have a noise coming from the engine but when i put my ear torwards the top it doesnt sound bad it sounds like the pistons moving up and down....is this bad?

 

How loud is the whistle? Even the n/a motors have a whistle to them normally, thats just the intake, its desgined that way
