No Toasters in Utah or Colorado???
I recently got back from a 10 day road trip to several of the National Parks in Utah (awesome hiking, and Moab can't be beaten for mtn. biking!
) and a couple of days seeing relatives in Denver.
I was blown away by the fact that other than ONE xB on the freeway, in 2700 miles of driving I didn't see a single xB (or xA for that matter) in all of Utah and Colorado! I find that really odd - especially since you can't swing a cat in So Cal without hitting about 32 of them.
Even if you want to take into account the harsh (snowy) winter conditions in both states, you'd think a FWD car with decent interior room would be somewhat popular, especially considering its considerable affordability. But not even ONE???
Weird.

I'm glad to hear that!
And as far as "only being in the city", 3 of those days were in Denver/Aurora, so I think that counts!
And obviously, I don't really think there are NONE in those states, I just found it REALLY odd that I never saw any at all!
Ha!
It was absolutely awesome, thanks!
It would've been nice to hook up with some other Scion folks, but we hardly had a moment to breathe, so I doubt that I could have worked out a meeting, but thanks anyway.
I'm actually from Denver (GO GW Patriots!
), but hadn't been back in about 10 years. Still as pretty as always, people are great, had an unbelievable time!

There are always exceptions, but the xB1 really is a city car, designed by Japanese designers for crowded Japanese roads.
It's (by and large) the people who said "nice idea, but too slow, too noisy, not crashworthy" that inspired the xB2 -- and those are the people you're more likely to see doing daily long drives at 85mph.
You didn't see my xB on your trip either. When we go on long trips, we take the minivan and leave the xB at home.

I mentioned seeing just one on the freeway just for reference' sake.
It was really strange.
And "Amen!" on traveling sans Toaster! Its not exactly my idea of a cross-country-cruiser!
Another CO owner, I am sure the xB's were few and far between.. But I bet that you saw a bazillion WRX's, STi's and other AWD machines (thank you Rockies winters) on your trip. I used to be one of the WRX guys. Still have my 05 Legacy GT. But between the two there wasnt enough space and gas was a PITA, spending almost 100 a week at one point for both cars. So I got the box and am happy as hell. I need to update my pics though.. its come quite a ways since I first posted on here.

I get the same thing when I'm out on the road. I just did 2K miles in 3 days and only saw like 3 xBs. I went from W. TN up to Detroit. Then from Detroit to Kansas City then back home. The thing that confuses me is how many Versas' there are already. They have only been out for a short while but they seem to out number ALL Scions total.

I live up toward Vail, CO and if you want to see some pics of the leaves changing go to my myspace page(www.myspace.com/lancebenn.com), it's a private community called Bachelor Gulch. The pics are awesome.
I'm in PA and I don't really seem many xB's here, but I'm in a more rural part. I'm moving to Utah next summer to goto college to the University of Utah which I'm very excited about, already got accepted and everything
hope to see a few fellow xBs out there in SLC when I go!
