I think it is awesome because it shut up all the owners of the old xB who cried constantly about the lack of JDM "cred" in the new xB.
Frankly, I could not give less of a ____ about JDM, other than for the reason above.
On the subject of the Rumion, I think it looks plain/boring compared to the xB, but the TRD version is nice.

The TRD version is very nice. It looks like a conversion wouldn't be impossible either. It basically looks like you could just replace the body panels forward of the front doors, and the headlights. Of course, I could be wrong.
The extra options would be nice, too, but I think roXor boXor is right, they're probably saving those for the mid-cycle refresh. Gotta have something to update.

Unless I'm mistaken the JDM Rumion will come only with 1.5 and 1.8L engines. This should appeal to the XB1 owners who feel that the XB2 is over-powered. Personally I like the 2.4L and wouldn't want anything less. The optional 7-speed auto is nice but they can keep the CVT.

I'm skeptical about the Japan MPG ratings. How does the xB magically get 10 more mpg just because it has it has a smaller engine? I say real world it's +1 or +2 mpg tops. Unless the 2.4 is just VERY inefficient for some reason.
What would be really cool would be a 1.8 + electric hybrid powertrain! Same power as 2.4 but with fuel economy of or better than xD.

So basically I'd hope they might make it standard, but I doubt it. I may just look into doing that swap myself once I get my xB, I love me some digi climate control.
