Default Question about 06 and tire pressure monitoring

Ive read that all 07+ have tpms where the valve stem has a sensor on it that needs to be transfered if you put aftermarket wheels on your car.

I have an 06 rs 2.0, do i need to worry about transferring any sensors on the stock wheels to an aftermarket wheel? I have no idea if i have any sensors on the valve stem for my stock rims, but i do have that yellow waring light that comes on if any of my tires are low, so im not sure if they are one in the same or different systems.

The '06 uses the wheel speed sensors to determine a difference in tire pressure, so there are no sensors to transfer over when you change wheels.

100% correct, 05-06 tc's use abs wheel speed sensors for the tpms, while 07-08 use actual sensors in the valve stems that must be transferred when you change rims.
