Default The MINI Clubman

I've been eyeballing this new ride & I'm starting to really dig it. I sorta wish this was the direction the xB2 would have taken. Its coming to the US in Feb '08 & I've read that the engine will get around 52MPG. Not too shabby.

no way the petrol engine (which is the only one we'll get here in the states) will get 50mpg
i believe only the diesel engine equipped with auto engine off/start feature gets those numbers

While true we dont yet know what the ratings will be here in the US, the EU ratings are already in.

The Clubman S w/ supercharger gets 44.8MPG. The regular Clubman without the supercharger gets 51.4MPG. And the Clubman D (diesel) gets a whopping 68.9MPG. We wont be getting the diesel here in the US at launch.

Here is a review that backs those numbers up. There are others out there if you still need convincing.

the difference in #s is due to difference between US gallon size and Imperial gallon size
since 1 imperial gallon is equal to 1.201 US gallon -- you get higher mileage #s

here are the us fuel economy ratings
http://miniusa.com/feature-fuel-effi...l_Efficiency-m

keep in mind that the clubman will weigh more, so the #s will be lower

I think you're right. But why when I try to convert it, it keeps saying that 1 Imperial Gallon = 1.2 US Gallons??
